Treaty of Waitangi Work

 In the class for this term, we have been learning about the treaty of Waitangi. Around about now we had to start and create a Treaty for our class. In my opinion, this is very bad timing since we are nearly finished school for the year. 

In class For the treaty, we did do a lot of ideas but not everyone got what they wanted whether it was People wanting to be allowed to be 10 minutes late or whether we should be allowed to have our own opinions. Some people where overruled even in the group of 4 students where overruled.

The good part on this what we did right everyone was agreeing on our last choice which now we just need to see our teacher fr her treaty and then we can finalize our final copy.

Key Question 1: What is the environmental/social sustainability issue? 

I think that a major issue is a
Deforestation in deforestation,
we cut down a lot of trees (13,000 each second)

Key Question 2:  What factors have caused this issue?

people are cutting trees for:

1. pencils
2. houses
3. buildings
4. paper
5. tables

7. room for buildings
8. traps so we can eat some animals

Key Question 3:  What will happen if this issue continues to degrade? 

we will start having less oxygen to breathe and have fewer animals that repopulate
by eating trees and more toxic fogs
and an apocalyptic scenery where smoke is in every corner and we can die from this smoke,
birds losses of eggs and nests taken by other animals the only animals
that can fly around are ones that can use echolocation.

Key Question 4: What are the possible solutions to this issue (either being currently done or could be done)?  

make a lot more national parks and force peoples pockets like ($5) and use the money and plant trees we could also pay YouTubers 1,000 dollars and tell them to do what Mr Beast did with the 20,000.145 trees. this would be sustainable because we are planting back all the trees we murdered. What we would be doing is Helping all the animals so some of the YouTubers in Australia can feed koalas and possums and other native animals, African YouTubers can feed there native animals rhinos.

I found out that people cut down trees for money for the expense
of more dangerous gases letting out and co2 taking over the o2 (co2= carbon dioxide and o
2 is oxygen) and that most care a whole lot

less about the world then what we should.
I also found out we cut down a whole lot of trees.
if we recycled some of our wood (except the mouldy wood) we could have a lot of trees around, for example,
if we had a chair we could change it to a table or a different type of chair.
I think some of the things that were made are preposterous, a one-use toothbrush,
a barely used chair, a couch that by the end of it will be dumped in nature and become mouldy,
and lastly, fossil fuels (oils) made by trees that we use more to kill our environment.
These examples show that we need to stop cutting down as much tres as we are.

my goals in english

In-class I made myself a goal my goal was if I was away or if I did not finish I would complete it at home. sadly I did not complete my goal but I will try again next time my new goal for in-class work is to complete all my work.
I will finish my Indepindince matrix task whether it is raining or sunny that is my goal so I can do and finish it.
I will get two days this week because of Mrs Handley's time away from her favorite class my class.
I hope this week I can complete all my goals and this week my independence matrix task is going to be horror and

30 second film

L.o In class for the last couple of weeks we were doing a film.

in our film it was about a boy going into a library stealing a book and getting caught.

our group of four people chose to do a movie about stealing and how it is wrong.

in the film we had 2 camera people summer and Jhermaine and 2 actors Thomas and myself. the music was chosen by myself and added by summer. the song was the pink panther theme song and was agreed upon all of us.

we had a couple of bumps in the movie like the main actor/library book stealer was changed almost 3 times and the libraryian was changed 2 times. the film was made almost 3 times but by the end we finished and went through the bumps as if it was a steep road.

These eyes are definitely terrifying. The black button eyes let us know that we are in the other world. except for the key the key was the way to go in  to the other world.

These buttons essentially act like masks. Coraline can't tell if her other parents are watching her and she can't get any clues through their eyes as to what they're thinking.

it really symbolizes hope love and attention with the tale of a little bit of terror.

The really wierd key into the other world becomes a hot commodity, or item, in the story. There's only one key to the door between the other world and our world. the other mother and Coraline both want to control that key.

ping pong ball experiment

Our experiment was about the scientific method of our experiment the ping pong drop .

Aim:the aim of the experiment is how high the ball will drop from a distence.

Hypothesis:I predict that the ball would not fall at different heights.

Method:

1. Method: set up the experiment are
2. Grab ping pong ball and put it carefully at the high you want (probably start with 20cm than go up by 20 cm each time untill you hit 1 meter)
3. Dropit again to test if the drop bounce was equal
4. Compare all of your findings 

Discussion the ball bounced higher the higher it was dropped because the air resistanc was pushing the weight back up again.

Evaluation (what could you do better) i think what i could do better i could grab a different type of ball (made of rubber) and bounce it higher.

Sundials

On the thirteenth of February all of year 9 A
Y where supposed to make sundials.  The work took 3 lessens of work.
I made a small but creative sundial in a group of 2
We used a vibration saw, wood and drill we went from d block all th way to  the wood work room
Did you know that in summer you have to take away an hour off your sun dials

Did you know you can get multiple types of sun dials
I learnt if you have the sun dial in line with the celestial poles it will work all year round
How i made the sundials

2 mark the idea on wood
3 cut and drill the idea
4 start assembling and finish it
6 decorate the wood

the fun bit was learning about how sundials worked

i learnt to take my time or else it would not my best work i could do

if i had to do all of this again i would work alone and not rush my work
i also learned that if you are careful enough you may spot that it has 3 layers of tough wood and it does not stay strait but if you have the right drill bit in the drill you might be able to have the gnomon or the stick in vertically
