When using an Air compressor there are Many dangers and hazards.
electrical dangers, fumes, flying particles, high pressures and high noise levels.
There is also the hazard of the Air compressor exploding.
To prevent most of these where the General PPE, Turn off the air compressor. and when you are going to change Bleed the air out of the hose then Detach the tool.

Basic PPE When Using these tools are Wearing Safty Goggles, Wear Overalls, Wear Ear Muffs and alsowear Closed Toed Shoes.
